Living Systems - Resource Kit (for educators & facilitators)
| The Living Systems Resource Kit, published in 2003, investigates all aspects of how native biodiversity does and could make a positive contribution to Victorian agriculture, to farm families and rural communities. It includes materials to help agricultural industry training providers and educators to explain native biodiversity to present and prospective farmers. This Kit is based on the value systems and drivers that underpin rural cultures and decision-making. It offers a new and exciting approach to biodiversity education. Through activities, fact sheets, case studies and discussion, the Kit demonstrates that biodiversity conservation is both practical and fulfilling. The Kit will add to existing environmental and agricultural curriculums and is based on adult learning principles and methodology. The Kit may be downloaded for non-commercial use in public education subject to the copyright notice (see Introduction). To obtain permission, please contact the Copyright Officer, DSE (Tel: Customer Service 136 186). Note that some of the information in the Kit, particularly contact details which were last updated in 2004, may have changed since its publication. In addition to Acrobat PDF files, Microsoft Word versions have been added to this site where their size limit does not exceed 1.5 MB. In some instances the Living Systems banner has been removed from the cover page of MS Word versions to reduce file size.
