Library and Information Services
Library and information services are delivered to the Department of Sustainability and Environment through the DSE Knowledge and Learning Centre (K&LC) and in partnership with the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and the Department of Infrastructure (DOI).
The DSE Knowledge and Learning Centre provides a virtual Library service to departmental staff, including an online library catalogue.
Hard copy collections are mostly kept at the Knowledge Resource Centre at Werribee, having been moved from the libraries at Victoria Parade, East Melbourne (Corporate Library and the Minerals and Petroleum Reference Centre).
Planning related material is located in the Department of Infrastructure Library, Level 5, 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne 3000.
The Knowledge Resource Centre is a state-of-the-art facility designed for the long term preservation of library materials, and is managed by the Department of Primary Industries (DPI). The Centre is open to the public during normal business hours, Monday to Friday. Reading room and photocopying facilities (charges apply for photocopying) are available for use. Parking is available on-site.
