Economics and Policy Research Branch

The Economics and Policy Research Branch specialises in applying contemporary economic principles to the major resource management issues relevant to the Department of Primary Industries. Within this broad goal, the Branch works with the Divisions of DPI to analyse and develop new policy mechanisms. Members of the Branch have specialised research skills in applied policy analysis and natural resource economics. The Branch successfully competes for external funds where such investigations would be beneficial to both external funders and DPI.
