The vision for Future Farming Systems Research (FFSR) is to develop innovative farming systems that deliver production and environmental benefits for the temperate zone of south east Australia.
The work of FFSR focuses on two platforms: Agrifood Production Systems and Agricultural Resources. FFSR also has major responsibility for the delivery of two components of strategies associated with the Victorian Government’s Future Farming Strategy.
These are high productivity in the dairy industry and new technologies and strategies which will focus on increasing resilience to climate change for the horticulture, livestock and cropping industries.
