The workshop will cover:

  • Principles of experimental design. (e.g. treatment balance, orthogonality, resolvability, efficiency, optimality and randomisation) to refresh background theory surrounding design.
  • Further theory on latinisation and design generation/search algorithms.
  • Principles and practice, using CycDesigN.
  • Lesser known design features, new design developments & implementations in GenStat.
The workshop is suitable for statistical practitioners, applied statisticians and biometricians. The workshop will involve hands on use of CycDesign and GenStat in a computer laboratory.
