This year the diverse programme promises to be just as exciting as ever with high profile national and international speakers that include:
Prof Youngjo Lee (external link) is a Professor of Statistics in the School of Computational Science and Technology, Department of Statistics, Seoul National University, South Korea. Dr Lee's major interest is in Generalised Linear Models and Biostatistics.
Prof David Lindenmayer (external link) is a Professor of Ecology in the Centre for Resource and Environmental Studies, ANU. He was elected a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science on 19 March 2008 - distinguished for his work on ecology: distribution, abundance, population dynamics of vertebrate populations.
Mr Ross Cunningha (external link) is an Associate Professor in the Centre for Resource and Environmental Studies, ANU. Ross is a practising, accredited statistical scientist with extensive experience in the application of statistical methods in many fields, particularly ecology and biological conservation. His particular expertise is data modelling and experimental design.
Dr Peter Clarke (external link) is a Senior Biometrician in the Department of Agriculture and Food, Western Australia. His major interest is in Unreplicated Trial Designs and National Variety Testing.
Mrs Parin Kurji (external link) is the Head Biometrician at the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Her major interests include Biometry, Survey, Experimental Designs and Statistical Education.
Dr Nick Galwey (external link) is a Senior Statistician with GlaxoSmithKline, UK. He is the Author of "Introduction to Mixed Modelling, Beyond Regression and Analysis of Variance", Wiley.
Prof Rosemary Bailey (external link) is a Professor of Statistics in the School of Mathematical Sciences at Queen Mary University of London, UK. Dr Bailey's major interest is in the Design of Experiments, particularly those with one or more nuisance factors and in which the treatment factors are qualitative.
Prof Roger Payne (external link) is Chief Science & Technology Officer at VSN International. He has extensive experience of pioneering statistical computing, consulting and research. In addition to serving on the committees of many statistical societies he holds a visiting professorship at Liverpool John Moores University and a special lectureship at University of Nottingham.
