Exploration Licence Reports - open file report summaries
Summaries of open file Exploration Licence Reports can now be accessed using the Earth Resources web-based interactive GIS mapping application, GeoVic.
To view exploration report summaries follow the instructions below.
Note: You may wish to print these instructions before proceeding.
1. Visit the GeoVic webpage and click on the map of Victoria to open the application.
2. From the list of Map Layers, open the Tenements folder then Expired Tenements. Click on this layer and a list of different varieties of licences and leases appears.
3. Click on the check box, “i” icon and arrow next to “Expired Mineral Exploration Licences”. Then click the “Refresh Map” tab on the top menu bar.
4. Select the magnifying glass icon and outline the area of interest.
5. Select the identify icon, “i”, from the top row of icons and click on the location desired within the area of interest. A list of relevant expired Exploration Licences will open in a new window.
6. If a report summary .pdf has been completed then you will be able to view it by clicking on “EL Summary link (if exists)”
Alternatively, after steps 1-4:
5. Select from the top row of icons the EL Summary page icon with the red “EL” letters and click on the location desired within the area of interest. A list of exploration licences that have .pdf summaries will appear.
6. If a report summary .pdf has been completed then you will be able to view it by clicking on the EL number.
To return to Map Layers click on the “Layers” tab on the top menu bar.
