Premier Lakes
Premier lakes will receive additional stockings of larger ‘Premier’ rainbow trout (> 1 kg) at least four times a year (subject to suitable water conditions).
As well as providing access for disabled fishers, these lakes also offer family friendly facilities such as toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and playground equipment. They are a great place for young people and their families to fish, some perhaps for the first time.
Like all public Victorian waters, regulations apply to recreational fishing at these lakes.

Lillydale Lake
Lillydale Lake is situated in the township of Lilydale, 45 km east of Melbourne. Due to the popularity of the lake, facilities are of high standard and consist of a barbecue and picnic area, playground, bike track, walking tracks, a beach, a large lawn area, toilets, bridges and jetties. Eildon Pondage
The Eildon Pondage is located approximately 160 km northeast of Melbourne and is one of Victoria’s most popular fishing destinations. The surrounding countryside offers beautiful natural views whilst anglers enjoy fishing activities. Disabled anglers have access to the water via a purpose-built pier. Kennington Reservoir (Bendigo)
Approximately 150 km north of Melbourne, Kennington Reservoir is situated in the city of Bendigo. A 1.36km sealed walking and cycling track encircles the reservoir and facilities accommodate for barbecues, picnics, childrens playgrounds and watercraft activities. Jubilee Lake (Daylesford)
Jubilee Lake is approximately 111 km northeast of Melbourne and 45km north-east of Ballarat. The lake is a popular spot for fishing, boating and swimming. A caravan park is situated close by, with kiosk, barbecue facilities, boat and canoe hire, and a walking track which leads around the lake. A unique and popular site nearby is the mineral spring located on the south bank of the lake which offers a good introduction to the area’s well-known spa country.
Lake Hyland (Churchill)
Hyland Lake is situated 160 km southeast of Melbourne. Historically a popular fishing spot for families, the lake also offers high-quality experiences for keen bird watchers. Facilities include a public toilet, playground and a walking path that follows the valley and connects to the township of Churchill. A model powerboat club has also taken residence at the lake.
