Managed by the Shire of Yarra Ranges (external link), this attractive and popular lake is a shallow (2 to 2.5m deep) flood-retarding basin located on Olinda Creek, south of Lilydale.
No fishing is permitted on the beach areas; however most of the shoreline is accessible to anglers. Accessibility signs are located around the lakes edges.
Fish You May Catch
- Rainbow trout (regularly stocked by Fisheries Victoria)
- Redfin, carp, roach and eels
Fishing methods include bubble floats with bait, and lures for redfin and trout.
