Managed by the City of Greater Bendigo Council (external link), this picturesque lake is surrounded by reserves of indigenous vegetation. The reservoir is linked to the

Most of the shoreline is accessible to anglers with the deeper sections of water to be found along the northern bank. Fishing is not permitted in a conservation area which has been established at the southern end of the lake, which offers a hide for bird-watching enthusiasts.

Fish you may catch:
  • Rainbow trout (regularly stocked by Fisheries Victoria)
  • Redfin, and tench
Fishing methods include baits fished on the bottom with as little sinker weight as possible, and small lures for redfin and trout.
