AgFutures
This project is funded under the Future Farming Strategy.

AgFutures aims to assist farmers and farming communities make sense of the changes that will affect agriculture in the future and enable better long term decision making.

Over the next 4 years, AgFutures will work with 12 agriculturally based communities each year.

Changes
Rural Victoria is undergoing profound change. Drought, climate change, increasing competition for natural resources and population change are shaping the future of farming and rural communities at a rapid rate.

Challenge
Robust and resilient farm communities are built on productive and competitive businesses and good social networks. There are real challenges ahead for rural communities in responding to and managing rapid change.

Opportunity
There is a need to ensure that farmers and their communities are supported to make the best possible decisions using the most up to date and relevant information when adjusting to change.
