If it is a State Prohibited Weed it is the responsibility of the Department of Primary Industries to arrange for removal and ultimate eradication.

If it is a Victorian Alert Weed the Department of Primary Industries will take into consideration Weed Risk Assessment information for the species and how widely the species is distributed across Victoria. DPI will then make a decision on the appropriate action to take.
