Equine Biosecurity Information

Infectious diseases can be mechanically transported by humans, contaminated horse transport vehicles, equipment, and service providers. Anyone who has close contact with infected horses can potentially transfer infection between premises.

Biosecurity is aimed at any activity that reduces the possibility for disease transmission from one horse to another (directly or via people, fittings or instructions).
