Diamondback Moth Sampling Plan - further information
There are two versions of the program, one primarily for growers (DBM Sampling Plan – standard version.xls) and one for researchers (DBM Sampling Plan - grower version.xls). The standard version refers the user to information on other management issues, such as insecticide resistance management. The researcher version presents some additional information on the statistical performance of the plan, and it provides the user with the freedom to set some of the parameters used in the construction of the plan.
A separate program (DBM development calculator.xls) can be used to calculate the development rates of different life stages of diamondback moth.
How to download the program
You will need to download the program one time only. Once downloaded all you will need to do in the future is open the file as you would a normal file. However, periodically the program may undergo minor updates, so it would probably pay to check the internet site occasionally to see if you have the most recent version (check version number on front page of program). To run the program you will need Microsoft Excel 97 or a later version.
How to run the program
- Download the file. The easiest way to do this is to right mouse click on the icon, select "Save Target As...", and then save the file to an appropriate directory. All programs come as zip files, so, having saved the zip file, you will then need to unzip and extract the Excel file.
- Enable the macros. Depending on how your Excel program is set up, you may then be prompted with a question relating to the use of macros in the program. Make sure the macros are enabled, otherwise the program will not work.
- Read and agree to the conditions of use by pressing the confirmation button.
