Competitive Quality Potato

VegCheque Home

CQ-Potato Project was developed to assist the Victorian potato industry to realise the potential which lay in export markets, at a time when the industry was changing rapidly and facing a decline. The project finished in 2000 but had a number of components.

Seed Production was one component and the goal of this strategy was to develop cost-efficient and reliable quality seed production, storage, handling and transport systems. The outcomes of these activities were more efficient seed production technologies and improved seed hygiene and handling practices. This information is still relevant to the industry.
