Habitat: | Subhumid temperate regions, occurring in exposed, moderately warm situations and on fertile, drier soils (Parsons and Cuthbertson 1992). It is a weed of neglected areas and roadsides, occasionally invading unimproved grazing land (Parsons and Cuthbertson 1992). Although it grows best in areas with an annual rainfall above 600 mm it also can be troublesome on semi-arid rangelands (Parsons and Cuthbertson 1992). |
